2023 Aikey Foundation Scholarship Application Period will open in 2023: The 17th Ruth M. Aikey Scholarship, worth an estimated $40,848, will be given out to a promising student with financial need next year. Over the past 20 years, the foundation has awarded 16 local deserving students over $422,257 in scholarships so far. One new full-tuition scholarship is worth an estimated $10,212 per year will be awarded in 2023. 2020 Aikey Foundation Scholarship Application Period Deferred: Unfortunately, due to the financial recession of 2008 and 2020 and subsequent financial impact upon the foundation’s endowment investments, the board has regretfully decided that it must defer awarding a new Ruth M. Aikey Memorial four-year full-tuition scholarship in 2020 until additional future donations are secured. Over the past 17 years, the foundation has awarded 16 local deserving students over $422,257 in scholarships so far. There is 1 student in college still receiving scholarship payments. One new full-tuition scholarship is worth an estimated $10,012 per year. May 2016:
The 16th Ruth M. Aikey Scholarship, worth an estimated $40,048, was given out to a promising student with financial need. To date, over $332,149 in scholarships have been given out to promising students with financial need.

May 2015:
The 15th Ruth M. Aikey Scholarship, worth an estimated $40,048, was given out to a promising student with financial need. To date, over $302,113 in scholarships have been given out to promising students with financial need.

January 2015:

May 2014:
The 14th Ruth M. Aikey Scholarship, worth an estimated $39,264, was given out to a promising student with financial need. To date, over $272,077 in scholarships have been given out to promising students with financial need.

May 2013:
The 13th Ruth M. Aikey Scholarship, worth an estimated $38,688, was given out to a promising student with financial need. To date, over $237,721 in scholarships have been given out to promising students with financial need.

May 2012:
The 12th Ruth M. Aikey Scholarship, worth an estimated $37,384, was given out to a promising student with financial need. To date, over $203,425 in scholarships have been given out to promising students with financial need.

May 2011:
The 11th Ruth M. Aikey Scholarship, worth an estimated $36,120, was given out to a promising student with financial need. To date, over $168,211 in scholarships have been given out to promising students with financial need.

June 2010:
Olmsted Falls, Ohio has been added to the list of communities where students can be residents.

May 2010:
The 10th Ruth M. Aikey Scholarship, worth an estimated $34,904, was given out to a promising student with financial need. To date, over $132,091 in scholarships have been given out to promising students with financial need.

June 2009:
To date, over $102,142 in scholarships have been given out to promising students with financial need.

May 2009:
The 9th Ruth M. Aikey Scholarship, worth an estimated $33,720, was given out to a promising student with financial need.

June 2008:
To date, over $70,333 in scholarships have been given out to promising students with financial need.

May 2008:
The 8th Ruth M. Aikey Scholarship, worth an estimated $33,720, was given out to a promising student with financial need.

May 2007:
The 6th and 7th Ruth M. Aikey Scholarships were given out to promising students with financial need.

January 2007:
Ronald G. Krisko accepted the position of Secretary, and Roy M. Krisko accepted the position of Assistant Secretary, therefore, Ronald B. Krisko became the Treasurer.

May 2006:
The 3rd, 4th, and 5th Ruth M. Aikey Scholarships were given out to promising students with financial need.

June 2004:
The 2nd Ruth M. Aikey Scholarship was given out to a promising student with financial need.

February 2004:
The Aikey Foundation receives registered non-profit 501(c)(3) status.

December 2003:
Janice L. Krisko accepted the position of Executive Director and Co-Founder of the organization while Ronald B. Krisko accepted the position of Secretary/Treasurer and Co-Founder.

August 2003:
Harry A. Aikey passed away shortly after awarding the first Ruth M. Aikey Scholarship.

June 2003:
The 1st Ruth M. Aikey Scholarship was given out to a promising student with financial need.

April 2003:
The first Ruth M. Aikey Scholarship applications are collected.

March 2003:
Aikey Foundation was founded, the Ruth M. Aikey Scholarship was created, and Ronald B. Krisko accepted the position of Executive Director and Co-Founder of the organization while Janice L. Krisko accepted the position of Secretary/Treasurer and Co-Founder.

March 2002:
Ruth M. Aikey passed away.
